The AFC is comprised of 4 divisions, the American Football Conference East, the AFC North, the AFC South, the American Football Conference West. The National Football League’s American Football Conference division is comprised of organizations such as the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The NFL is one of the 4 leading professional athletic venues in the United States of America, and the highest professional level of American football in existence. The National Football League’s four month regular season runs from early September to late December, with individual teams participating in 16 games and receiving 1 week off during the normal season lineup. Following the conclusion of the regular schedule, 6 ball clubs from the National Football Conference & American Football Conference move into the playoffs. The 4 division winners and the two franchises (not division champions) with the {best|highest overall standing have earned spots in the playoffs. The 2 best rankings from each conference are allotted a bye week, while the lower standing 2 conference winners play in the wild card round with the 2 wild card teams. The NFL play-offs are lose and go home games ending in the NFL’s championship tournament, the Super Bowl, which is usually held on the first Sunday in February following regular season play, and is played between the winners of the NFC and American Football Conference.
